동강국제사진제의 19회 거리설치전으로, 사진계와 주요 전시기획자들의 추천 및 작가 인터뷰를 통해 선정된 사진가들의 실험적이고 독창적인 작품을 영월의 거리 곳곳에서 선보인다.

전시는 영월의 자연과 환경, 역사와 문화적 정체성을 새로운 시각으로 재해석한 사진들을 도시 공간에 설치함으로써, 일상의 거리를 열린 전시장으로 확장한다. 관람객은 걷는 동선 속에서 예술과 자연, 지역의 이야기가 만나는 경험을 하며, 사진을 통해 영월의 풍경과 장소성을 새롭게 발견하게 된다.

'만고영월'은 동강국제사진제의 역사와 정체성을 계승하는 대표 야외 전시로서, '사진의 고장 영월'이라는 지역의 문화적 가치를 확장하고, 군민과 관광객 모두가 일상 속에서 사진예술을 자연스럽게 향유할 수 있는 문화 플랫폼을 지향한다. 사진의 예술성과 기록성을 바탕으로 영월의 현재를 새롭게 조명하고, 미래를 향한 지역의 비전을 함께 그려가는 공공예술 프로젝트이다.

The 19th DIPF  installation exhibition of the DongGang International Photo Festival, presenting experimental and original works by photographers selected through recommendations from the photography field and leading curators, as well as artist interviews.

Installed throughout the streets of Yeongwol, the exhibition reinterprets the region’s nature, environment, history, and cultural identity through new visual perspectives. By transforming everyday urban spaces into an open-air gallery, it allows visitors to encounter photography while walking through the town and to rediscover the landscapes and sense of place that define Yeongwol.

As a representative outdoor exhibition that continues the history and identity of the DongGang International Photo Festival, 'Yeongwol, Eternal' expands the cultural value of Yeongwol as a “town of photography.” It aims to create a public platform where local residents and visitors can engage with photographic art in daily life, while presenting a new vision for Yeongwol through the artistic and documentary value of photography.
