개요

캐논 x 동강국제사진제 초등학생 포토 캠프는 초등학생의 눈높이에 맞춰 '카메라 옵스큐라 체험, 피사체를 활용한 체험 위주의 사진교육'으로 구성되어 있으며, '우리 사진 함께 보기' 등 자신이 캠프 기간에 촬영한 사진을 출력하여 함께 보고 토론하는 장도 마련된다. 또한 전 국민 사진작가 시대를 맞이함에 따라 카메라를 악용하는 문제가 심각한데 의사소통의 매개체로서 카메라를 바라보는 훈련을 통해 교훈적인 학습도 이루어질 예정이다. 1박 2일로 진행되는 캠프는 별마로천문대, 동강국제사진제가 열리고 있는 영월 동강사진박물관과 아름다운 자연 속에서 향기로운 문화와 역사를 소중하게 가꾸어 온 영월군의 관광지를 체험하면서 자연스럽게 사진이란 매체를 통해 창의적 활동영역을 넓힌다. 초등학생 3~6학년을 대상으로 7월 28일부터 29일까지 1박 2일로 진행된다.

The Canon X DIPF Photography Camp for the Elementary School Students is mainly comprised of heuristic educational programs, i.e. Camera Obscura experience and educational activities that involve the discovery of/by photo subjects. These are specifically designed to cater to the needs and the development stages of elementary school students. Also, there will be a ‘Collective Photo Viewing’ session in which the participants will openly review and discuss the works of one another. The ethical sides of photography will be touched on during the camp, mainly by enhancing the participants’ awareness to photography’s communicative capabilities. The ethical education is absolutely necessary considering the world of today that is inundated with cameras. This two-day camp will take place all across Yeongwol, including Byulmaro Astronomical Observatory, Yeongwol Photography Museum that hosts Donggang International Photo Festival, and many other popular locations around Yeongwol that boast stunning scenery. The camp will encourage its participants to tap into their creative potentials using photography as a medium. Students between 3rd and 6th grade are eligible to apply and the camp lasts two days from July 28th to 29th.
